Educational Qualification

Candidates were required to have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from a recognised board or possess an equivalent qualification accepted for the Junior Assistant post.

UPSSSC PET 2023

This recruitment is linked to Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023. Only candidates who had appeared in PET 2023 and were issued a valid numerical score by UPSSSC could participate in the Main Examination recruitment process.

Typing Qualification

Junior Assistant is a typing-based clerical post. Candidates reaching the current stage have to qualify the prescribed typing test before moving further in the selection process.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age Calculation Date: 01 July 2024
• Additional age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

Candidates who cleared the Junior Assistant Main Examination should now follow the revised typing-test schedule. The old 30 October date should no longer be treated as the current schedule.

2. Go to the latest notices / important announcements section.
3. Find the notice for Advertisement No. 12-Exam/2024 Junior Assistant Main Examination.
4. Open the notice related to the revised typing-test date.
5. Check the new schedule, which starts from 13 November 2026.
6. Keep checking the same official website for the typing test admit card.

The Commission will provide admit-card information separately. Once it is released, candidates should rely on the date, shift, reporting time and centre printed on their own admit card.

The Main Written Examination is already over and its result has been declared. For candidates shortlisted from that result, the immediate next hurdle is the typing test.

Current Stage – Typing Test

The typing test is a skill-based stage for the Junior Assistant post. Candidates shortlisted through the Main Examination result will have to demonstrate the prescribed typing proficiency. The revised test schedule begins on 13 November 2026.

The admit card will be important here because the Commission has announced a starting date rather than one common test date for every candidate. Individual schedule and reporting details should therefore be checked from the admit card once it becomes available.
