For most Assistant Professor subjects, candidates must have a Master's Degree in the concerned / relevant / allied subject with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Candidates must also have qualified NET conducted by UGC / CSIR or an equivalent accredited test such as SLET / SET. Candidates holding a Ph.D. Degree may be exempt from NET / SLET / SET where they fulfil the conditions prescribed under the applicable UGC regulations.

For reserved categories covered under the notification, relaxation in qualifying marks is applicable as per the prescribed rules.

Qualifications are different for some subjects such as Art, Music, Physical Education, Law, Education and agricultural disciplines. Candidates should check the subject-wise eligibility and allied subject list in the official notification before applying.

Interview
